$5,000 Transition Bonus
Details
- Home Weekly – on average, OTR drivers in our primary areas only miss 3 weekends per year.
- $5,000 Transition Bonus
- $1,500 paid after your first week, $1,500 after 3 months, and a final $2,000 after 6 months.
- Key Locations Bonus – if you domicile in Chicago, the Quad Cities IL/IA, Des Moines, Indianapolis, or Toledo, you’ll add an additional $100 to your guarantee and +$0.05/mile to your starting rate.
Starting Pay (6mos - 2yrs exp.)
$1,550-$1,650 avg. per week
$1,300 weekly minimum guarantee – you’ll never earn less, but you can and should earn more!
$0.51/mile starting rate
Earn $78-$82K your first year!

Starting Pay (2-5yrs exp.)
$1,575-$1,675 avg. per week

$0.52/mile starting rate
Earn $80-$84K your first year!
Pay will increase with tenure & bonuses
Starting Pay (5yrs+ exp.)
$1,625-$1,725 avg. per week
$1,350 weekly minimum guarantee – you’ll never earn less, but you can and should earn more!
$0.54/mile starting rate
Earn $82-86K your first year!
Pay will increase with tenure & bonuses
Activity & Accessorial Pay
Detention – $20/hour after only 1 hour
Door-to-Door Practical Miles – paying both loaded and empty.
Layover – $250-270 per day
Stop-off Pay – $20 per stop in excess of 1st pick-up and final delivery.
Trailer Relays & Shuttles - $12 per event
Paid Parking – All Paid/Reserved Truck Parking is reimbursed.
Elite Pass – covers tolls and scales
EFS Card – daily coverage for fuel, additives, DEF, oil, windshield fluid, antifreeze, weigh scale fees, and more!

If you have 2 years of recent experience, a clean driving record, and a good work history, you can earn more money in your first year at Nussbaum! Drivers who qualify for our Elite Driver Track can earn $87,000+ right away, and be on the fast track to accelerate earning potential. Certified RED
RED is more than just a color. It's a symbol of excellence, service, and dedication.
Certified RED is Nussbaum's continuing education & development program for drivers. By completing hands-on training & learning assignments, drivers will set themselves apart in the industry, as well as boost their paychecks! When you become certified, you will receive:
A permanent $0.02/mile bump to your base rate
An exclusive Certified RED hat & truck decal
A sterling silver ring
For every 100,000 miles of safe driving, you'll receive an additional half-cent per mile bump to your base rate! Once you hit the 1 million mile mark, you'll have added a permanent $0.07/mile increase to your mileage rate!
Road Warrior Track
Are you a “Road Warrior” who likes to stay out on the road for at least 3 weeks at a time? Nussbaum drivers with Road Warrior status earn an extra $0.05/mile, add $1oo/week to their guarantee, and $20/day additional PTO! What does this add up to?
$1,650 - $1,750 avg. weekly earnings
$1,400 weekly minimum guarantee - you'll never earn less, but you can and should earn more!
Earn $84,000 - $88,000 your first year!
Note: those who receive Key Location pay are not eligible for Road Warrior pay.

- Valid CDL – Class A
