Job Description

Primary Job Role

  • Field phone calls, voicemails, and emails
    • Assist in parking issues and routing
    • Monitor ETA’s
    • Handle load assignment issues
    • Help research customer hours
  • Facilitate load planning and completion
    • Change/Update loads in dispatch
    • Build empty moves
    • Help locate empty trailers
    • Help with any routing issues including directions, weather, fuel stops, and load splits
    • Reschedule/Schedule appointments
  • Inform day shift personnel/customers on load progress
    • Complete customer reports and contact customer if the load is late
    • Monitor critical/hot loads
    • Update customer tracking sight

Secondary duties

  • Coordinate concierge service for drivers
  • Report/Resolve safety and compliance issues
  • Maintain good driver, customer, and public relations
  • Coordinate after-hours equipment repairs
  • More as requested

Job Requirements

  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong computer knowledge
  • Ability to work with others

Preferred knowledge

  • Transportation knowledge
  • Ability to understand DOT regulations and FMCSA laws
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Schedule

  • Wednesday – Friday: 12 p.m. – 9 p.m. (1-hour lunch)
  • Saturday: 7 a.m. – 12 p.m.
  • Sunday: 12 p.m. – 5 p.m.
  • 34-hour workweek
