Job Description

Nussbaum is seeking an energetic, self-motivated Business Analyst with a passion for improving financial results and engaging data in a meaningful way. As a candidate for this position, you should demonstrate an attitude of continuous improvement and a history of using analytical/critical thinking skills to drive real-world results. In this role, you will leverage SalesScope, custom Excel programs, and internal/external data sources to provide timely, data-driven guidance for business decision-making. Initially, we expect a strong focus on learning to consistently apply multi-layer, decision-oriented business logic, learning lane-based pricing for assigned customers, and integrating into the broader business development team. We will also emphasize data point memory-enhancing in lane research, multi-cycle trucking performance strategy, and a practical understanding of Nussbaum’s operational and financial metrics. Our ideal candidate will derive energy from analyzing all the angles of a decision and then selecting the outcome that best serves Nussbaum.

  • Spot quoting rates for customers
  • Bid Work – importing, pricing, and submitting formal bids
  • Pricing data Q & A
  • Rate Management
    • Adding new rates to the database
    • Managing the list of active rates
  • Lane Yield Analysis
  • Return-on-Assets (ROA) Scenario Reviews

Job Schedule

  • Full-time position
  • Monday-Friday; 8am-5pm
  • Location: Corporate Offices – 19336 N. 1425 East Rd., Hudson, IL 61748
