As a Senior Systems Administrator, you will play a pivotal role in orchestrating and optimizing the deployment and management of multi-account, multi-region infrastructure across both legacy and cloud-native systems. This position requires a professional who thrives in implementing and maintaining scalable, secure, and efficient systems. You will be responsible for monitoring system performance and configuring new software and hardware. To be successful in this role, you should have excellent troubleshooting skills and hands-on experience with various operating systems. Ultimately, you will ensure our software, hardware, servers, and networks run smoothly.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Managing/Building/Maintaining Cloud Infrastructure
    • Bicep and PowerShell Skills
    • Understanding of Azure/Cloud Platforms and Cloud First Methodologies
  • Nussbaum Expert on Azure Pipeline/GitHub Actions
    • Provide re-usable templates for all teams to use
    • Assist other teams with initial build of pipelines
    • General CI/CD expert – how to eliminate manual deployments
  • Understanding customer requirements and project KPIs
  • Implementing various development, testing, automation tools, and IT infrastructure
  • Defining and setting development, test, release, update, and support processes for DevOps operation
  • Experience across both legacy and cloud-native systems, adept at transitioning and optimizing between the two environments seamlessly
  • Primary person responsible for implementing/building and maintaining cloud infrastructure
  • Assist with maintaining and building existing on-premise infrastructure, both on shift and off shift work
  • Have the technical skill to review, verify, and validate the code developed in the project
  • Troubleshooting techniques and fixing the code bugs
  • Monitoring the processes during the entire lifecycle for its adherence and updating or creating new processes for improvement and minimizing the wastage
  • Tightly coupled with Development team
  • Encouraging and building automated processes wherever possible
  • Selecting and deploying appropriate CI/CD tools
  • Strive for continuous improvement and build continuous integration, continuous development, and constant deployment pipeline (CI/CD Pipeline)
  • Responsible for Cloud infrastructure – Deployment, maintenance (some off shift), security, and containers
  • Managing Kubernetes/ACA
  • Automate pipelines
    • Build new pipelines
    • Improve existing deployment processes
    • Training

Schedule

  • Full time: Monday-Friday, 7am – 4pm.
  • Location: Corporate Offices – 19336 N 1425 East Rd., Hudson IL.

Job Requirements

Job Requirements

Here’s the type of person we’re looking for:

  • Experience working on Linux-based infrastructure
  • Excellent understanding of Terraform, Python, Bicep, Yaml, PowerShell
  • Configuration and managing databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Working knowledge of various tools, open-source technologies, and cloud services
    • Kubernetes, Ansible, VMWare, Azure
  • Awareness of critical concepts in DevOps and Agile principles
  • Cloud experience – preferably Azure
  • Understanding of networking principles and protocols
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to multi-task and function collaboratively as a member of our technical team
  • Ability to work independently with little or no supervision

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in IT
